It's a new day...
I cried last night, during McCain's gracious and heartfelt concession speech and when Obama spoke in my hometown of Chicago. I felt like I was right there in Grant Park. I'm so proud of my country... that the people would speak up and want to go in a new direction. As a mother to 2 minority children I couldn't be prouder that a man of color would be elected President. I wasn't sure I'd ever see that in my lifetime. I have hope for the future. It won't be easy but we can get there together. I hope and pray that our country can be united now.

It is an amazing thing that happened. Children will know that you do not have to be white to be president. That is a different world than the one we knew!
I'm still walking around in a fog. A good fog though. I am so excited for all of us. This is truly one of the most historically awesome thing to happen in our life. EVER. Well, besides my children... :)
Yes it is a new day....and I too pray for unity in our great country! I cried too as McCain spoke. IT was such a sweet speech ...and I loved how he pledged his support for B. and urged all of America to do the same! He was so sincere! I saw tears in Sarah's eyes too! It was a night that will forever go down in the great history of our nation...for many reasons.

Even though I was supporting McCain, I do believe history was made yesterday. To witness that is very humbling. I love our stars and stripes!
I am still buzzing from last night! They better keep George W home for the next 2 months so he cannot do any further damage that our new President has to undo!
I am happy too, I just hope he can accomplish what he hopes to.
