Sunday snapshot - snow!

snow play 7 web

The hard Winters here last until late March,
 sometimes early April
and lately it's been snowing every few days.
So we embrace this beautiful season and have fun.snow play 1 web

This week we had a couple of overcast days,
so the snow wasn't blinding us when we were outside.
Giggles and laughter pierced the quiet of a Winter's day.
And that's such a wonderful sound to me,
my heart is happy when I hear it.

Storyboard snow play

There was a lot of running, sliding, rolling, throwing of snow
and creating.
Grace was making the 'Great Wall of China' and Will was building a pyramid.

The above is Will's (attempt to get the snowflakes
off his nose) face.
For a little boy who hated to go out in the snow and cold in previous years,
he now asks to play outside (pretty much) everyday.
And I love that...
:)

Great pictures. I guess you can't fight it, you have got to embrace it. We have been dealing with the same thing here. I heard the other day that it is less than 50 days until spring!

These are beautiful Gail! I love the one of Will "licking" his nose and the solo of Grace with her gorgeous pink snow coat. You would never guess it from these photos that your little man didn't enjoy the snow just a year ago. I think he's making up for it this year.

Hope you have a fabulous and relaxing Sunday! I think we might go to the zoo today.

Hugs...
Grace

Your photos inspire me Gail!

Your children are absolutely precious!

Now one question - where did you get Grace's hat? Must get one :-)

Love you and hugs,

These are beautiful winter shots of the kids enjoying the snowy hills!

How funny to see Will out there this year.... I know how he always stayed in with you because he hated to be cold and wet!

He certainly looks like he is loving every minute out there now!

That last picture is classic Will.....so cute!!

Hope you had a great weekened~

We have winter into April many years as well, and then spring consists of May, but as my husband has often pointed out (because each year he is desperate for winter to end), once you reach February vacation, it's all uphill from there. By the end of February, the snow is too soft to snowmobile and any storms after that don't matter :-)

I love his scrunched up nose. It's like his tongue is just too little to reach! I love Grace's coat.
