joy of love (portrait)

portrait 1 WM

I'm kind of behind in the joy of love assignments,
but had to get this one in.
Portraits are probably my personal favorites as far as pictures.
It doesn't matter how many I've taken
of my children in the past.
Every one of them is different in feeling and mood.
And a glimpse of their spirit and soul.

portrait 2 WM

Taken Sunday afternoon of my favorite 8 year old in the whole wide world.
The little girl with the Mona Lisa smile.
Our Grace.

Gail it has been SO long since I've looked at your site. SO long. I seem to never have time for reading sites any longer. I just looked through your photography website and your portfolio and I had to leave this comment to say MY WORD you have really come into your own! I have never had the inclination (or patience I guess) to learn any post processing... sometimes I wish I would because I know I'd be "marketable" and could probably make some money on the side but I just can't seem to bring myself to it. I am really in awe of your work and love your perspective in so many of the photos I saw (everyone peeking out from behind trees, etc). Now I'm dying to know what inspires you or where your ideas stem from... :O)

And I have to add you should be charging more. Twice that! You are talented enough, trust me.

And your kids are just growing up so beautifully!

Thanks for continuing to stop in and say hi in spite of my absence here.

I agree with you!! Portraits are the best. Just a little passage into the soul. And your portraits are outstanding. I've been behind in reading blogs, but all of you images are just amazing. So clear and on point. Priceless!!
