singing bird

'Keep a green bough in your heart and the singing bird will come.' ~Chinese proverb

Grace was welcomed into our arms over 5 and a half years ago. There are 17 years between our oldest son(Nick) and his sister Grace. It seemed like an eternity that we waited for this little girl.

For those of you who wait, I wait for you and with you.
Please keep on going. Keep living your life. Keep loving. Keep laughing. Keep hoping. Keep dreaming. Keep praying.
Your singing bird will come.

So beautiful Gail!!

You are right....you just have to live life and eventually our singing birda will come. I know it is kind of cliche, but good things come to those who wait!

Have a great week!

Gorgeous post, Gail....so true!

Well the 'model' has to be in the mood to do this. Believe me....LOL
Most of the best ones of her are when she doesn't know I'm taking her picture.

I'm not sure if you saw my post "just words"- but it's strange how something in me so recently "gave". And when it did, when I let go- gave in to this wait, and really came INTO the moment- it's as though suddenly I was more present to HER. And to everything around me. I am so blessed to be in this new relationship, even blessed that the wait is what it is, because as Garth so often reminds me, we have been granted this time to "grow our roots". And now, it's like I feel MORE connected to her- because she too only lives COMPLETELY in the moment, facing her challenges or greeting her hopes and giggles day after day without knowing what comes next. Now I do that WITH her, and it feels like we're doing it together, even though physically she's not with us yet. It's like my heart isn't cluttered anymore with my timelines and worry and frustration, so there's all this room for the wonder and awe and beauty and GROWTH. It doesn't mean I don't still wait- but it's with this new and sort of- joyful anticipation rather than the anguished yearning. I expect her now. And she'll come when she's ready. She'll come when she's ready.

:O)
