Finally Friday!

It's Friday(or almost) and I thought the above pic of Grace jumping on the bed pretty much represents my feelings that the weekend is near. We've had a busy week and February seems to be flying by. Will started Speech services 2 weeks ago, he goes twice a week and loves it and adores his speech therapist. We've all been healthy(so far) this month and I can't remember having a February like that for several years. We met with our social worker for Will's 6 month post placement visit. Our little boy was engaging, sweet and polite. Our social worker and I spoke at length about how far he has come and how much he has healed. Will is a brave little boy to take that leap of faith and love us. We actually have been together as a family 7 months tomorrow. And finally, I have an anouncement to make....no we're not adopting again, well at least not right now. Dan and I are going on a date! Alone. Just us. No kids. A real date at a real restaurant with a reservation. And not a 'kid' restaurant if you know what I mean. I can't remember when we were last on a date but I know it's been at least 7 months ago. Will is ready for a babysitter and he'll do quite well I'm sure. Happy Friday and hope your weekend is extra special.

TGIF Gail! Hope you and Dan really enjoy your evening out-you deserve it, and it is so important to carve out that time for just mom and dad. Even when an evening out is not possible-just moments for a glass of "mama juice" and conversation or enjoying a movie after the kids go to bed. Love that picture of Miss Grace!

What a great picture!! Perfect for "Finally Friday."

Congratulations on your successful 6-month post-placement visit and all of the progress you and Will have made as a family in such a short time!! Congratulations, too, on taking the big step to hire a sitter. I hope you and your hubby have a fabulous time! I'm sure you can't wait to hear those wonderful words... "Mr. & Mrs. X, we have your table ready." :)

I am not surprised at all that Will charmed the socks off of the social worker...he is one precious child!!! Congrats on 7 months together.

Date night...you goooo girl!!! You deserve it so much. I wish I lived closer, as I would sit with those kids ALL the time...you'd have to beg to come back : )

How EXCITING!!!!! I want to know if you guys remember how to talk like adults and if you can actually get through the entire dinner without telling someone to sit still or say excuse me!

So happy you are having a date night...that sounds fantastic.

Wow, a real date. How did it go? What was it like to look down at a menu instead of up?

And now we head into the final week of February...
