Fall in southern Wisconsin

Today we took a little roadtrip north of Madison to a pumpkin farm.

Will fed a goat....
....and of course took time to run, climb and play while we were there.

Miss Grace sat on an old piece of farm equipment and 'drove' it...

...and snuggled with mommy.

Finally, we got on a horse drawn wagon.

William loved the horses and the bumpy road we took...

out to the pumpkins.

This one was Grace's favorite. Will picked out a teeny tiny one.

Here she's claiming her pumpkin by sitting on it. I think she looks like she's hatching an egg.

After we picked our 4 pumpkins, we got back on the wagon and to the farm. Will fell asleep on my lap. It was a beautiful, crisp Autumn day, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect one. The colors of the leaves are peaking and 6 months of winter will be here soon!

Oh it looks beautiful. I love the photo with the barn, and the one with the horses! How neat that the wagon was pulled by horses.
The photo of you with Grace is adorable too.
Yes, it's a good idea to get out and enjoy these lovely Fall days. Our winter will be here all too soon.

What a perfectly fun Fall day! Love the pics- especially the one of Grace...we all need to enjoy these fleeting fall days...though the holidays coming up make winter okay with me until Jan 1st..which is a problem, since it usually endures until April!

Such great shots. I can almost feel being there! Did I already tell you that John has family in Madison? I hope we might visit one of these years!

I read below about William, I can't imagine what you went through. Bailey, coming from the SWI, well she was frozen for 4 day but ever since has been amazing in her adjustment. What is worse, the foster care and then to be taken away or the hardships and neglect of the SWI and then...I can only think foster care is still the best for them. What are your thoughts after what you have gone through and how he is doing now.

ANyway, you all are a precious ,wonderful family and you are in my prayers!!

Hugs,
sharon

Those are amazing picture and memories. What wonderful familiy moments you are having.

For me, the closest that I am getting to fall weather was your pictures. It was 84 degrees here today. I would love a little fall :)
