In a blink of an eye she is growing up. It seems like yesterday that
she was wearing princess dresses and having tea parties.
Officially she's a 'tween.'
So I guess that means she's 'in between' a child and a teenager.
Grace still loves and plays with her American Girl dolls, Barbies
and collects puppy stuffed animals.
Oh and she wants a phone.
I don't see a phone in the future for a while.
Not yet.

Grace Portrait 5

She is a child, and wants to grow up so fast.
Now I think it would be great if time would slow down.
I am a conservative momma in many ways
and am fiercely protective of her.
Grace has overcome many obstacles and challenges
in the last 10 years and I couldn't be more proud
of this girl who is my daughter.
I couldn't possibly love her more.

I think our girls are going through the "in between" stage at the same time. If you swapped out photos of Grace with Natalie the words would remain the same. Such a tough time for both our girls and their momma's. Conservative is good!

She is getting so big. These photos are so beautiful. Would never guess that it's the middle of winter and ever so cold outside that window.

What a beautiful girl. And of course she wants a phone, most likely all of her friends have them! You know she doesn't really need one now and you'll know when the right time to get her one is.

In the meantime, keep doing what you are doing because you are raising a beautiful daughter, inside and out.

She is stunning, Gail.
And you've just reiterated to me what a great Momma you are... it's so obvious through both your children and their beautiful hearts.

Breathtaking photos Gail. She definitely is a young lady! And a beauty at that. My favorite is the B & W looking down. Love the depth of field.

she is so beautiful. You must be so proud of your "tween". When it comes to our children, why does time seem to move so fast? Sometimes, I just want to hit pause.

Gail,
Grace is stunning. Your words took my breath away. Although our path to Alexandra was different, when I read this, it brought tears to my eyes. Times go by so quickly. Grace and Will are blessed to have such a thoughtful mother.
I am grateful to be getting to know you.

Gail, Grace is simply gorgeous!

I love those quotes you shared. You're an amazing mom with a heart of gold, and that's apparent in your beautiful children.

Amazing photos of a beautiful young girl.

And I am right with you in that place of wanting my girls to stay young and innocent. There is plenty of time for growing up...

I know I have told you this before and I know I am not the only one to say this, but Grace is stunning. Have you ever thought of having her model. You can tell she enjoys being infront of the camera or at least she enjoys doing it for you because your photos of her are amazing. My children simply give me crazy faces when I want to take a photo of them. She really has a talent for it! Just putting it out there. So glad you are back!
