joy of love (staying in)

Staying in 1

Well we're pretty much experts in the 'staying in'
department, since we live in the frozen tundra.
We make the best of it...because we don't have much of a choice.
Our Wii gets a good workout with both littles.
Will loves his Lightning McQueen game
but the current fav for both is 'Lets Dance Kids.'
Will adds a few signature moves of his own every time
they play.

Staying in 2
Besides our daily arts and crafts time for Grace,
both kids love imaginative play, Grace reads to Will, they make up puppet shows,
play Barbies (yes Will does too), and
race around our basement that has plenty of open space and a small trampoline to jump on.

Even though we got another blast of Winter today, I can tell Spring is coming
...our daylight is lasting longer. :)
Staying in 3

Grace's beautiful art set was a Christmas gift from her Grandma.
As I remember it was purchased at the Art Institute of Chicago's museum shop.
I don't see it in their online catalog presently.

so first question is. Is that you in Grace's very detailed picture? She is quite the little artist!

secondly, you must let me know where you got that art kit. It is beautiful and would be perfect for Rory for her birthday.

And, I can never/ever get enough of William, that cute face of his and how you capture it!

The depth of field on Grace is astounding!!! Great capture and what a great artist you have on your hands.

Our Wii is currently getting a workout right now. And yes, even though I'm quite cold again, the days are getting longer and I just love that!

I love how you captured the theme for the day. Will looks so determined in the photo with his DS. Liam was playing with Natalie's yesterday (she wasn't home). I think he's going to be a pro at it before her.

My favorite is of Grace drawing. Love her in the background and the lovely colors of her art supplies. Love it!!! You certainly have a budding artist in your home.

hugs....

Oh my - what a beautiful art set (I'm a little envious myself, hehe). We got one for Dahlia this Christmas but not so elaborate. Grace's looks great.

I love that she does arts and crafts everyday. And your basement sounds like a wonderland. Perfect for spending so much of the year indoors.

You're right - days are getting longer. Spring will come.....eventually.

Stay warm!!
xoxo
