Decking the halls

Decorating the tree WEB rd
Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree.

In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall.

Be merry all, be merry all,

With holly dress the festive hall;
Prepare the song, the feast, the ball,
To welcome merry Christmas.

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.

Storyboard decor
Yes, we deck the halls, put up lights, trim the tree,
add plenty of glitter and sparkle and do all kinds of things to welcome Christmas in our home.
And we make sure to have fun.

I learned from the best of them...my Grandmothers, Mother and late Mother-in- law.
All lovely women who have taught me well to keep Christmas for my own family.
Because to me by doing this we are honoring it.

And it's not all about Santa, elves, reindeer and gifts.

It's the joyful celebration of the real reason.

These are amazing Gail! Your house looks so beautiful and festive. Natalie was looking at the pictures with me "oohing and aahing". She also noted that "Grace always looks so fancy. Will isn't but Grace is.". :-) I must agree with her...Grace is one pretty fancy little girl!

Happy Holidays to you! We're going to start decking the halls today in our home. Hopefully I'll be able to take some pictures over the weekend.

Hugs,
Grace

These are beautiful photos Gail. Each one better then the last. How did I miss three posts? LOVE the black and white of Grace looking at the snow house! and the pictures at the tree farm are just adorable!

YES! decorating early is key for us. There is so much to do it takes me a couple of days to get it all done. But, sadly I must say no live trees or anything else for us. My sons are VERY allergic to the anything fresh...Every now and then I would give it a try just to see if we grew out of maybe just one allergy. Each time we end up at the doctors looking for asthma meds. :)

I have come to except that part of my life is not to be. My son's say "Finally!!!!"

Your decorations are beautiful!

Beautiful Gail. I can feel the true spirit of Christmas with every lovely shot. And there's such a peacefullness in your home. (I know, I know, Will sometimes messes with that, doesn't he?)

Love all your decorations and special touches. We really have to get it together here. We're super late now. Your post was very inspiring.

Happy Week-end!

Oh how I love that last picture!! This week I attended an "Advent by Candlelight" program at my church, and a soloist sang the song you're playing. I think I'll come back here a few times and turn it up LOUD. I just love it!! Beautiful pictures, as usual! :)

BEAUTIFUL! Your house looks fabulous.... so festive and pretty!

I am now feeling guilty that I am going "light" on the decorations this year. I just don't have it in me to go all out.

Happy Holidays! It is coming fast:)

xoxo,

Lisa
