Yep it's that time of the year again.
Backpacks, shoes, school clothes and school supplies have been purchased.
They've had hair cuts, pediatrician visits(with only one shot thankfully for Grace)
and dental appointments.
All to get ready for that first day of school.
Grace is now in second grade...
And mr. Will is in his last year of preschool.
Next year will be Kindergarten.
Is it just me, or do both look like they've grown a lot over the Summer?
Both have had a fabulous week with easy transitions to their new classrooms and teachers.
They are making new friends.
And this mommy is happy about that.
Though the return to school is always a little bittersweet for me.
Though the return to school is always a little bittersweet for me.
As I write this, it feels like Fall today...it's cool with temps in the 50's.
With the kids being being back to school and College football starting this weekend, the only thing missing is the leaves changing.
And that will happen soon. :)
15 kind words:
I got chills reading your post and it was not from the cool temps that you mention and that I am longing for.
The quick passage of time is too much. I just want to make it stand still. I look at all of our children and I am simply amazed at how big they all have become. I think that the situation that Katie is in makes me want time to freeze all the more.
I am so happy that Grace and Will are happy and thriving. You are such a good mama and friend.
I love you.
I always had mixed feelings about the return to school. But, routine is good.
The kids looks fantastic and healthy Gail!
We are in the middle of yet another heat wave up here! Yikes!
Have a great Labour Day weekend my friend.

Such beautiful photos of those two darlings. So glad they have transitioned so easily into school this year.
Oh how I long for cooler days. We won't be feeling any of those for many months. I will have to live vicariously through all of my bloggy friends.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Let's chat soon...
BTW... love Will's backpack. I know of another little boy that would LOVE it. ;-)
The beginning of school is so bittersweet! Your sweetums look so excited and ready for a great year!
I love those back to school photos! I do remember how bittersweet it is. I'm glad to hear they are enjoying their classrooms. I know they will have a great school year!
They look adorable all ready to tackle the first day of school! Happy to hear it went so well.
We go back next week and have spent the last few days getting the supplies, shoes, and shoes. Also had the dentist visit yesterday..... I would say we are all set. Now if that fall weather would make it's way to Pennsylvania:)
enjoy your weekend~
xoxo,
Lisa

The kids look great. Will already looks ready for KG. Temps here are still over 100 degrees. Sooooooo Hot!
Grace looks stunning in denim.
Oh yes, they do both look like they've grown so much! Such cuties!! Love Grace's haircut, bow and outfit -- she is such a stylish girl! :) And that Will, he kind of reminds me of my boys when they were growing up --- all boy and so darn cute!
Cooler weather here too -- a visit to the Farmers Market may be in order -- is it too early for pumpkins? Have a great long weekend!

It's not just you Gail - they did grow up a bit this summer. What an adorable pair they make. I just love these images of your darlings with all their new school gear.
Definately bittersweet. I really want to freeze time. (Well, all except for this heat wave we're in - over 100 all week - but we're getting your weather tomorrow. I love the summer but a little cooler is even lovelier!)
Enjoy this long week-end with the kiddos.
xoxo
