portrait of my 4 year old (Sweet Shot Tuesday)

Taken a few days ago of Will, our precocious youngest son. Will is wearing what he calls his 'fishing hat.' This particular day we were in the backyard and he found a tiny caterpillar, measuring about a quarter of an inch. Will held and carried him around for a good 45 minutes...and (happily) the caterpillar survived. Will loves caterpillars but is terrified of pretty much any insect, especially lightning bugs. He will scream very loudly and find me to help rescue him...it's a little bit funny in a way and very cute! 4 is a wonderful age. :)

He is so adorable. It is special to save the memories of our children at the different ages.

Oh Gail is he ever so sweet. Liam feels the same way about bugs. He's not quite sure if he likes them or not. My friends son gave him a bucket filled with plastic snakes, lizards, spiders, frogs and misc. bugs. Liam freaked out when he saw what was inside. He's slowing willing to at least look at the contents and will play with the frogs so far. They're so cute at this age. I'm going to email you offline sometime today. Want your opinion on something. Hope your summer vacation is off to a good start!

Hugs...

Isn't four dreamy. I loved it with Dahlia and can hardly wait with Milana. (They just start to "get" it!)

Will is adorable in his fishing hat. And what a hoot about the insects. Sweet portrait - I love the softness.

What a sweetie!! I love the age of 4! It's one of my fave ages and so much fun! We have the opposite problem with lightning bugs -- somebody wants them to live forever in a jar and it just doesn't work that way! :)

Hi, I´m a long time lurker from Iceland! :) I have two adopted children from China a daughter who is going to be seven in the autumn and comes from Nanchang and a boy who just turned three. He has repaired cl/pl. Somehow your kids remind me of mine maybe it´s the age but still there´s something. I just love your blog and reading about the kids, they are so beautiful and spirited! :) And like you I´m forever thankful for my children and loving every minute watching them grow! :)
Greetings from Iceland,
Sigga
