Winter Sunset (Sunday Snapshot & 6/52 - Project 52)

I feel like we've been hibernating lately.
We stay indoors almost all the time.
It's just way too cold to go outside
and definitely too cold to be outside taking photos.
Taken a few evenings ago of Grace in the amazing light as the sun was setting
behind the trees
showing these purple and golden hues.
We stayed outside for exactly 5 minutes.
I do notice the daylight is lasting longer.
Hey, Spring arrives in 38 days!

So lovely! We've been hibernating too -- but just heard a warm-up is on the way! Will send it to you after it visits here! :)

Amazing images, as always. Grace is breathtakingly beautiful on the outside, which I'm sure starts from within. I love that she seems happy to let you photograph her, which is unusual at her age. Any tips? Are there bribes involved or is she really just that sweet?

Grace is lovely in these shots. What a precious girl.

How did I miss that great news about the 135 lens! :Gail! Stop it right this second! The 135! EEEK! ). Do you love it? Tell me every detail!

Do not tell me every detail about your negative 13 weather today! I saw that on the news for Wisconsin and I almost cried for you! You poor thing!

That is such great news about Spring coming. 38 days? YAYYAYAYAYAY! Thank you, Jesus!

Thank goodness you have such a willing and able model! She makes it look like the temps are much warmer than I know they must have been. The lighting is so beautiful. And to have captured these in 5 minutes. You are one heck of a talented photographer!!! :-)

p.s. So happy spring is around the corner for you. I think you've endured enough frigid temps to last a life time.

It's so beautiful. But I know it won't be long before it's warm & the days are sooo long.
